Willkommen!

I started this tribe rather haphazardly as the result of a conversation with Ms. Tracy at the Dresden Dolls show at Cafe Du Nord. She was astonished to find the place packed for a local Boston band. I told her about the call for performers on Tribe and there followed the epiphanal 'aaawww'.

I thought, 'Jill Tracy must have a Tribe!'

So hello and welcome. If you are reading this post your next course of action is to:

a) introduce yourself
b) tell us a Jill Tracy story

Reichen Sie!

ello, I'm Drew. I thought that the first I had heard of Jill Tracy was reading your post in the Dolls tribe, but now I realize that I also met her on Du Nord on Friday. Actually, I was chatting with her friend (who was from England and being from Scotland myself...) I didn't know at the time who she was, but if i had read that excellent interview that you posted before i had met her i would have been much more clued in.

Thanks for the info. I've found out some interesting things in here already.

    Drew

Hi Drew. Welcome! Were you as impressed with that show as I was?

Oh my god, that was like the best show ever (my best Valley voice!) I had been listening to them a lot, but i was not prepared for how good they actually are!! Those drums!! He was positively attacking them at one point and then teasing them the next. I felt so refreshed afterwards.

A drummer with that much charisma is RARE! Terry Bozio being the last one I can remember. That both of the Dolls were equally charismatic just took my breath away. Can't wait for November.

"Oh my god, that was like the best show ever (my best Valley voice!)"

A very convincing valley. Not bad for a Scotswoman. (is that even a term?)

I was so excited to have found another band to enjoy. Not only was the music great, but they both really have a flare for aesthetics. Very goth without being cheesy.

I'd be happy to send a few MP3s but, and this will answer Slick's question as well, I'd need to do it via e-mail as there are no file sharing methods here on tribe (other than jpegs).

              But just a few songs...

              ***she's watching us***

Hi everyone, I also spotted Ms. Tracy in the crowd at the Dresden Dolls, hard to miss her! - I understand she's going to be telling stories alongside Richard Strange (cast of Toms Waits the Back Rider) at the Cafe Du Nord on September 20th - rimour has it that the night might end with her singing a short set.

p.s. this is my first time on tribe.net - it rocks!

Hello! I was introduced to Jill Tracy by my husband. When we were courting we used to light candles, drink absinthe and listen to Jill, and it was so romantic!!! We would weep in each others arms! Sigh!

We got to see her & her group perform Nosferatu at that Wine place in Napa a couple years ago. Extraordinary!!!
