Willkommen!
I started this tribe rather haphazardly as the result of a conversation with Ms. Tracy at the Dresden Dolls show at Cafe Du Nord. She was astonished to find the place packed for a local Boston band. I told her about the call for performers on Tribe and there followed the epiphanal 'aaawww'.
I thought, 'Jill Tracy must have a Tribe!'

Actually, I was chatting with her friend (who was from England and being from Scotland myself...) I didn't know at the time who she was, but if i had read that excellent interview that you posted before i had met her i would have been much more clued in.
Thanks for the info. I've found out some interesting things in here already.

Wed, August 25, 2004 - 3:10 PMOh my god, that was like the best show ever (my best Valley voice!) I had been listening to them a lot, but i was not prepared for how good they actually are!! Those drums!! He was positively attacking them at one point and then teasing them the next. I felt so refreshed afterwards. -

A very convincing valley. Not bad for a Scotswoman. (is that even a term?)
I was so excited to have found another band to enjoy. Not only was the music great, but they both really have a flare for aesthetics. Very goth without being cheesy. -

Thu, September 16, 2004 - 12:43 PMHello! I was introduced to Jill Tracy by my husband. When we were courting we used to light candles, drink absinthe and listen to Jill, and it was so romantic!!! We would weep in each others arms! Sigh!
We got to see her & her group perform Nosferatu at that Wine place in Napa a couple years ago. Extraordinary!!!
